I always found Nelson Rockefeller to be one of the more intriguing candidates in the 1968 primaries, considering his experience as governor of New York for almost two decades, his ranking as a Liberal or Progressive Republican, which has ended up coining the term "Rockefeller Republican".

I know that it is somewhat unlikely that he would receive the nod for the GOP nomination due to his moderate views in comparison to the rest of the party. However, assuming that he wins the Republican nomination in 1968, and goes on to win the 1968 general election, I was wondering...

1. Who does he pick as his running mate?
2. What would his presidency be like?
3. Would it differ much from the more centrist leadership of Richard Nixon?
4. How would two terms of President Rockefeller (1969 - 1977) affect the Republican party today?
