Constitionalism is inherently Conservative.

Only in OTL can you say that with certainty. In an ATL, that may just not be the case. If you want to insist that it must be thus, I'm afraid you're just imposing OTL beliefs (and specifically your OTL beliefs) on an ATL scenario. That's your prerogative, but not one in which I'll partake.

I'll say again: in 1800, the most ardent defendent of strict construction (in fact, the inventor of the very doctrine) was that notorious pro-French radical, Jefferson. The most famous enemy of strict construction (in fact, the originator of the opposing doctrine that the constiution can and should be loosely and 'broadly' insterpreted) was Hamilton-- who was known as a conservative. (Literally. A main Jeffersonian charge against him was that he was a British tory in disguise.) This rather proves that there have been times when "American conservatism" meant almost the exact opposite of what you claim it must mean.

Again, believe as you will, but I'm not buying your view on this matter, nor do i consider this present line of discussion very fruitful. Shall we just agree to disagree?

Constitutionalism is inherently Conservative, and moreso the older the Constitution is, and the stricter the amendment process is. Since the US Constitution is pretty old and pretty hard to amend, its pretty high on that rank. The words mean something, they’re not just arbitrary designations.
