What if Wenceslaus III of Poland and Bohemia and Margareth Maid of Norway both survive to rule their kingdoms, what would be the consequence for Europe?
And get married to each other? What if Wenceslaus III of Poland and Bohemia and Margareth Maid of Norway both survive to rule their kingdoms, what would be the consequence for Europe?
I imagine a power struggle in Scotland, until Margaret marries a husband strong enough to quell any dynastic rivals.
And get married to each other?
No, they don't get married to each other, Wenceslaus III survives and sires a son to Viola Elisabeth and Margareth Maid of Norway marries Edward II, I think the son of Wenceslaus III is likely to marry a Lithuanian Princess.
Do you suggest that this premise does not involve a random political union for once?

Why would Wenceslaus III's son marry one of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algirdas 's daughters? What's he gain?
It involves a Catholic king marrying a pagan because Lithuania. That's random enough for me.
Wenceslaus III's son will marry Aldona of Lithuania or Maria of Lithuania, a daughter of Gediminas not Algidras's daughter just like Casimir III did in order to make an alliance of Poland-Bohemia and Lithuania.
I agree, this looks possible not but not plausible, I think I need another match for the son of Wenceslaus III.Oh, so his nieces. So much better.
Casimir was only king of Poland, not Poland and Bohemia.
From the wiki article on Aldona:
Aldona married Casimir III of Poland, when he was 15 or 16 years old. The bride was probably of about the same age. The marriage took place on 30 April or 16 October 1325 and was a purely political maneuver to strengthen the first Polish–Lithuanian coalition against the Teutonic Knights.[2] Casimir was seeking allies over the dispute of Pomerania with the Knights.
Is Wenceslaus (he's only 37 at this point, so I'm ignoring the son) feel the need to ally with Lithuania to regain/secure/acquire Pomerania? Would that even be a priority?
Or would he more concerned elsewhere? He has at least some claims in Hungary and whatever interests as King of Bohemia (and part of the HRE) are involved on top of any time he spends on Polish concerns.
This feels forced. Not impossible, but forced.

My suggestion would be something in the German sphere.
A Habsburg-Přemyslid alliance (with or without your fondness for personal unions, just the two dynasties being close) would be fascinating.
I agree with that, but I think the problem of Poland-Bohemia is the Masovians, how could he get an alliance against them.
