WI: Washington Dies Before Constitutional Convention

Let's say George Washington falls off his horse and suffers a serious head injury at some point between Yorktown and the beginning of the Constitutional Convention. Considering how Washington was considered a unifying figure between the states/colonies, how would Washington's death effect the future of the United States?
 
Ask me again a few days after I've finished reading The Quartet (a fourfold historic narrative focused on how George Washington, James Madison, John Jay, and Alexander Hamilton were the driving forces behind the success of the constitutional convention and the beginnings of the true American republic.
