WI:Visayas gets converted by Brunei-Sulu instead of being Christianized by the Spanish

From what I read before Lowland Luzon got gradually converted by the Bruneians sometime after the Sack of Tondo, although it took years for them to do it, which was gradual by sending missionaries in that area, is it possible for Visayas to get Converted by Brunei and Sulu or Brunei and Sulu needs to stop slave trading Visayan slaves in Visayas in order for Sulu/Brunei to islamize Visayas.

Perhaps brunei adopts political centralization early on, which allows it launch more wars of conquests, among which are the visayas. They conquer Butuan, Cebu and Tacloban spreading the Dar al-islam

The Bruneians just made peace with Northern Luzon although they sent missionaries and never incorporated it they were gradually able to convert people there by sending missionaries, they repeated that in Mindanao.

Sulu/Brunei already has a Muslim outposts in Cebu in the Mactan Island but still failed to have conversions.

Could they resist Christianisation by Spain? Yes. Pagans were likelier to convert. Organized religions are harder to crack down in lands far away. You'd probably have more Sultanates who may avoid Spanish Rule but are still in danger of Chinese, Dutch or Japanese threat

Yes, the Visayans and Mindanaoans are also under possible threat by the Chinese, compared to Luzon/Saludong who traditionally hated the Chinese.

I doubt there will be direct Chinese Rule. Possibly vassalization during Ming Era and a new vassalization during Qing Era. Although I wonder if this will stimulate Chinese Migration to the Philippines. Especially to the area of Manilla Bay.

The Spanish not conquering the Phiippines will butterfly the end of the Ming Dynasty and Ming might go more isolationist ITTL.
