In 1812, the first Republic of Texas was created after the Defeat of the Spanish forces at the first battle of Salado Creek. Then the new republic had challenges with its new constitution and then another Spanish Army was sent to put down the new republic. The Republican army set up an ambush at the Medina River south of San Antonio. Luckily for the Spanish their scouts discover the ambush by luck and turn the situation and destory the republican army and the first Republic of Texas. In the aftermath, the Spanish go though Texas killing the native population at will, taking back the population level 100 years. Now, what if the Spanish had fallen into the trap and been killed to the man. (the army included Santa Anna as a low solider) Thus resulting in the total establishment of the Republic. How would this of effected the course of events to come?
