WI: Varg did not kill Euronymous

For all the Metalheads out there:
What if Varg did not kill Euronymous? Would Mayhem still be the big guys in the black metal scene? Would there be more church burnings? Would Varg still be a Nazi weirdo?

Euronymous was opposed to the church burnings as he felt they did not properly represent the Black Metal community, not to mention the unwanted attention that ended up getting heaped upon them.

Varg would still have gotten nailed for the church arsons, but without the "gr1m" and "n3kr0" act of stabbing Euronymous 23 times, he would have been forgotten by the metal community at large (mainly due to a complete lack of musical talent) and the audience that listened to him would mostly consist of neo-Nazis who appreciate his "genius". Mr. Vikernes would still of course, put out albums of shittastic black "metal" and expound freely upon his racist worldview to anyone who cared to listen. Eventually, to the relief of heavy metal fans everywhere, he kills himself in a mutual suicide pact with Gaahl and Jon Nodtveidt, thus sparing the world from any further shit that spews from his mouth.

Snorre Ruch stays out of prison since he isn't caught driving Varg to the scene of the murder.

Mayhem would continue making black metal and touring as usual. The lineup would change frequently with Euronymous being the only permanent member. That is until Euronymous is shot in the head by a fundamentalist Christian and ex-Marine named Nathan Gale.

Norway loses a lot of tourism revenue as many young metalheads decide to go elsewhere on vacation.

Until the Light Takes Us becomes a far less interesting movie.
