OTL J. Walter Christie, a brialliant racecar engineer devised the M1928, which the US rejected, which lead him to go to the soviets where his designs then became the BT series of fast tanks with ridiculous speed, and pretty good firepower for an interwar tank (nd weakish armour), and then the bt series led to the t34. Fun fact: bt5 holds the record for longest jump by a tank. Also, christie went to the poles, who rejected his design though a prototype named the 10tp was made.

What if the US didn't reject his design for being too expensive and for being a cavalry tank (which was actually banned in 1920)? Maybe its seen as stimulus by Roosevelt or Hoover, or just plain smart. While the US was isolationist, Bombers were developed (like the b17) to sink enemy ships and incoming armies. Maybe the M1928 is seen as a counterattack weapon or against those darned Canadians. Other ways it possible it would be acceted, post below?

Would we see an American BT series and fast tank doctrine? What would that look like? How does it effect WWII? How would it compare to OTL American tanks both interwar and during WWII? Thoughts?
