WI - Turkish Civil War?

I thought a TL based around this idea would be interesting so I wanted to know - how plausible is there to be a Turkish Civil War following the establishment of the Republic of Turkey? How would this Turkish Civil War play out? How long could it last?

Let's say the Turkish War of Independence goes as OTL where the Turkish National Movement wins with Mustafa Kemal becoming President of the Republic of Turkey. I can see monarchists in favor of a restoration of the House of Osman and the Sultan, perhaps a monarchist resistance movement organized by Mehmed VI rises. There could be a communist movement headed by Ethem Nejat.

Mustafa Kemal had the Army behind him and the prestige of driving the Allies out of Anatolia. Mehmed VI has none. Ethem Nejat and Mustafa Suphi do not have decent support to challenge Mustafa Kemal. Both were killed in 1921 but assuming they were not, it still would not help.

A Turkish Civil War in the 20s is unlikely and if it happens it is quickly over. Mustafa Kemal has the best position. Neither the communists have a strong support nor the Monarchist have the will.

Theoretically, what if a Turkish Civil War happened in the 30s or 40s? I did following say the Turkish War of Independence.

40s could be... or even 70s... up until Mustafa Kemals death he had enough support to prevent it.

The thing is... if it is in the early 40s then Germany might be tempted to go through to breach the Allied and Soviet defences on the oil fields. The Civil War will be quickly over as soon as the Germans enter and support whoever they want.

In the 70s the situation was looking close to turn to Civil War between Communists and the Government. But US will support the government.
