WI: Tony Blair arrested during Cash for Honours scandal?

Suppose that in 2007, the Metropolitan Police's investigation into the cash for honours scandal had found that Labour had tried to cover up its financial dealings, amounting to conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. Ultimately in early 2007 this leads to the arrest of Tony Blair, as well as several top advisors including Ruth Turner and Patricia Hawitt. What would be the ramifications of such a thing taking place?

I would have cheered gleefully at first and then later become vexed due to him getting away with it with a slap on the wrist.

Whenabouts in 2007, before or after he leaves office? I imagine that would be important to an electoral implications for Labour.
