WI Thomas Jefferson published his version of the Bible?

Thomas Jefferson removed sections of the New Testament in an attempt to extract the doctrine of Jesus. Basically, he made his own Bible.

He never published it.

What if he did publish it? Is there a possibility that 'Jeffersonism'/'The Church of Jesus'/whatever could have some small popularity? What would the long-term effect be?

Is this before or after his presidency? Because he had enough trouble with allegations of 'atheism' OTL as it is.

I've often viewed TJ as a product of the Age of Reason. I doubt very much whether, had he concluded this 'project' he would have appreciated a 'church' based upon its contents. Surely his point would have been to expound the philosophical and moral aspects of what the gospel reports as being the teachings/sayings of the one known as Jesus Christ?
