WI These men were president?

1976-1980 Gerald Ford/Bod Dole (R), defeated Carter/Sandford
1980-1984 George Bush/Dick Lugar (R), defeated Ted Kennedy/Mondale
1984-1988 Bush/Lugar (R), defeated Hart/Feinstein
1988-1992 Lloyd Bentsen/Jesse Jackson (D), defeated Robertson/Kemp
1992-1996 Bentsen/Jackson (D) defeated Buchanan/Quayle (R) and Perot/Chaoto (Reform)

What if these men were president? How would America as of 1996 be different?

Haha Jesse Jackson as President would be... different... Oh man, that guy cracks me up. :D
Actually he's only vice president. I should have put down who's running in the primaries

Democrats '96:
Clinton
Gore
Tsongas
Harkin
Brown (weakly)
Wilder

Republicans:
Quayle
Buchanan
Bush 2
McCain
Kemp

20 years isn't quite as ASB as many people here seem to think: the Republicans did it in the mid-to-late 19th century, and the Democrats did it from 1933 to 1953.

It is, however, quite difficult: to have Bush go up against the Kennedy mystique and win, without any boost from a Reagan administration and after what would still have to be the greatest presidential flop in history (Carter losing to Ford), requires explanation.

Actually you mean :-

Nixon/Agnew for 5 years
Nixon/Ford for c1 year
Ford/Rockefeller for 2 years

no i mean Nixon severed 5 years and Ford took Nixon's remanning 3 years, then ford is elected in his own right for 4 years and Bush gets 8 years

Well, here's the rest of the list:

1996-2000 George W Bush/Alan Keyes (R) defeated Bill Clinton/Tom Harkin (D)
2000-2001 Gore/Kerry (D) defeated Bush/Rice (R)
Gore killed during the terrorist attacks. Kerry becomes president, appoints Gephardt as veep
2001-2004 Kerry/Gephardt (D-accidental)
2004-2008 Powell/Chafee (R) defeated Kerry/Gephardt (D)
2008 - Powell/Chafee (R) vs. Richardson/Clark (D), with almost every poll favoring Powell
