here is a strange timeline that i was just pndering over.
Firstly the idea is that during the late 1890's the television is created, assuming that before hand motion pictures had advanced rapidly during the 1870's and 80's during the colonisation of africa.
On the death of Queen Victoria millions of Televisions were distributed to the population for discount prices, the slogan being a Television in every home. The nation watched on their victorian televisions as the funeral took place and then later on the coronation of the new king Edward VII.
If this was possible my question is this would this have any effect on WW1 during its course. Just imagine a swathe of government sponsored broadcasts across the nation as they watch eagerly the progress of the war. But what would happen if these stations of which all would certainly be used for propoganda, were to be hacked into, similiar to pirate radio, by pirate TV broadcasts who told the nation the true course of the war. Just imagine the horror on peoples faces as they see the death toll from just one day battle of the Somme.
any thoughts.
