WI there was a coup d'etat by Franz von Papen in 1932?

After the elections of July and November 1932 the Nazis emerged as the largest party in Reichstag but they didnt achieve majority.
Von Papen's Centre Party negotiated with the Nazis in forming a coalition Government but since negotiations were slow von Papen devised a plan in which a coup would be held with permanent dissolution of the Reichstag and the Government (von Papen) would rule by decree...
However this idea was rejected by both new Chancellor Kurt von Schleicher and President Hindenburg leading to the resignation of von Schleicher's Government in 28 January 1933 and the appointment of Adolf Hitler as Chancellor 2 days later...

WI Von Papen's idea was materialised and Centre Party staged a coup thus assuming full power in Germany? Would this be enough to stop the rise of the Nazis and avoid WWII?

There were several coup plans in '32-33. I think von Schleicher had his own plan for a coup too. There are of course differences, von Papen always thought he could use the Nazis as a tool, while von Schleicher saw a coup as the way to get rid of both the Nazis and the Commies.

I don't see this happening while Hindenburg is still alive, he was surprisingly committed to the concept of following the democratic process for an Old Prussian Junker, and was too well respected to be ignored.

Of course, it would be very easy for him to die a bit earlier than OTL.
