WI: The World Wars had been averted?

What would the impact have been on the global population and development of nations and government/politics around the world if World War 1 and World War 2 had been averted? If the European powers simply stalemate and avoid actual hostilities breaking out, does this just lead to a cold war between various European powers? Do monarchies last longer and become the status quo government? What about decolonization or development of infrastructure in the colonies? What about immigration--without the massive loss of life across Europe, do we see even greater migrations to European colonies and New World countries?

Use search function, we've discussed this dozens of times. I'm not trying to be a dick, but this is one of the most common What Ifs.

Colonialism would most likely have lasted 20 to 50 years longer. Women's rights would take 20 years or so longer to develop. Nuclear weapons might not happen with no real need for them. Racism lasts longer and tech develops slower. Overpopulation is worse. No Israel is likely with no Holocaust, and anti-Semitism is more common in the West with no Holocaust.
