WI the Venetian Fleet arrived earlier in Constantinople in 1453?

In March 1453 while Comstantinople was under siege by Mehmet II Doge of Venice Francesco Foscari gave orders for a Venetian fleet to gather and help the besieged Byzantine Emperor by bringing supplies and troops...
In OTL the Doge thought that the mighty walls of Constantinople would have held the Ottomans back and he didnt gave the order to leave until 7 May (which was too late... Constantinople fell 3 weeks later while the fleet was still in south Aegean)
WI the Venetian fleet had arrived in time destroyed the Ottoman fleet in Golden Horn resupplied Constantinople and reinforcing the Byzantine Army with Venetians? Any thoughts?

The Byzantines are finished at this point regardless. No matter what happens, it's only a matter of time until the Ottomans take Constantinople. If the Venetians arrived in time, at most I can see them delaying the capture by a few days or a few weeks. And I doubt that would make much of a difference in the long term anyway.

Maybe if the Venetians reinforced the Morea instead... :)

It could perhaps save Constantinople from the 1453 siege. But we'd see another siege again within a few years and if that ones beaten off there'll eventually be yet another and so on and so fourth until the city falls or the Ottomans experiance a major set back.

the city stayes Byzantine for a few more months at most, but at this point, by 1454 the city will be Ottoman .

The Ottomans are on both sides of the Dardanelles already - Constantinople will still fall.

I agree with both your sentiments in the longer run (i.e. short of the Ottomans dissolving into civil war Bayzantium is stuffed). But I'd think there's a fair chance that a timely arrival of reinforcements could allow Constantinople to hold out until the end of the campaigning season. Yep, the Ottomans will try again as soon as possible... but it'll probably be two or three years before they can gather the forces and supplies for an attempt.
