WI: The Rolling Stones Break Up, The Beatles Keep Going

An idea I had while walking the other day and seeing "GRRR!", their latest compilation:
What if the Rolling Stones had split around 1970 (or whenever feasible), but the Beatles had, like the Rolling Stones of the OTL, kept going year after year, changing with the times (or trying to), doing Farewell tours that don't actually lead to the band breaking up, occasionally losing or gaining members, and so on. Maybe a continued Beatles would be different than what the Stones were, and if you feel so feel free to say so.

one thing first.
the Beatles as a band were quite death in 1970
the recording of last album, the members even refused talk with each other...
It more likely that the Beatles spit up for some years and later reunite in 1980s

On The Rolling Stones there two significance moments were almost die or split up:

the Altamont Free Concert (were the Hell angels killed Meredith Hunter)
here the band was in a helicopter, who almost crash into a hill after Takeoff.

In 1970 the Rolling stone had amid contractual disputes with co-manager Allen Klein of Decca Records.
Klein successfully secured himself ownership of the copyright of all of the Rolling Stones' producs while under contract with Decca !
so the Stones went in exile to South france into the Villa Nellcôte.
during next 2 years they struggle to keep the band alive, until release of "Exile on Main St."
in 2 years allot can happen...

The Beatles would have had to cool their animosity towards one another. They could have pursued solo careers without breaking up, and put out fewer albums together (perhaps not again until 1972). The result would have been the best of both worlds: the solo works and more collaborative albums.

As for the Stones, it sounds like they barely survived into 1971. If they broke up, the solo works would have been a mere shadow of OTL.
