WI: The Reform War

OTL, the rallying of conservatives is due to french intervention, but I am not sure that after a victory in the reform war, they restore the empire.
Maybe they could see the empire as a solution to the politic instability of Mexico since its independence.

POD for this war could be:
#1 Juarez killed in march 1858;
#2 Miramon manages to take Veracruz in march 1860.

Assume that the Conservatives win the civil war. What would be the effects on the relations with the USA?
A mean for the Confederates to get round the Union blocus via Mexico?

The relations between the mexican conservative government and the american government would likely become unfriendly because of the support of the Buchanan administration to Juarez.

-In case of Conservative victory, what would be the consequences on Central America?
-It seems to me that general Miramon would become the new leader of Mexico in case of Conservative victory. From what I have read about him, his idea on the way to govern Mexico is not incompatible with a monarchy, and the idea of restoration of the Empire is, it seems, already in vogue among the Conservatives. As in OTL, the Archduke Maximilian could be offered the crown but he would be no considered as a french puppet.
