Hello Y'all, Well it's been a while since I posted a notion to the board. I have been doing a deep dive into early Prussian history last few weeks, and something i came across peaked my interest. But apparently during the tumult of the of the 1780's with the collapse of the Articles of Confederation that there was a legitimate attempt by the President of Continental Congress, to offer an American Crown to Prince Henry Louis of Prussia. It seems however that the offer was never officially accepted as it was retracted. My question is how bad would have things had to have gotten for the crown to have been legitimately sent to Prince Henry? Would he have accepted it? How might newly crowned King Frederick William II have responded? Also I know things between his wife were fairly frosty and the couple never produced any issue from their union, would that almost guarantee the idea of an elected monarch? What other issues may have arisen? Please discuss
