WI:The people of Luzon convert to Islam instead of Christianity

From what I heard the sacking of Tondo by Nakhoda Ragam of Bolkiah made the people of Luzon convertible to catholicism since the Bruneians stripped them of their native nobility, what if the people of Luzon were still ruled by their native dynasty and the people in Luzon voluntarily converted to Islam not by force and were not convertible like the people of Mindanao? what would happen to the philippines?

The other POD would be having Sulayman III and his faction win against Lakandula before Legaspi arrives, he is a hero in every aspect, I think, Sulayman III would ally with the Japanese, making it ally with the Japanese, I think Sulayman will make Islam more palatable for Luzonians.

With your short pod,

How would Brunei win vs the rebels at the time of decline?

How would Brunei ally itself with Japan in the time of sengoku?

Even if it allied with Japan, do the Japanese have sealift capability/project power to win vs Spain? Are they a match for the Spanish Navy?

What value/vested interest does the Brunei give to the Japanese to consider allying with Brunei and fighting a world power like Spain? Can Brunei sell modern weapons and techniques to Japan?

There was a civil war between the Sulaymanid and the Lakandula faction when the Spanish came - the Solimanid faction HAD support by Brunei and later the natives and Lakandula had support by Spain, delaying the Spanish discovery of the Philippines at least a few decades would make things better for the Solimanid faction and its support among the natives, I think the Solimanid faction could recreate the Saludang 'Tagalog' Rajahnate which ruled over the Luzon Lowlands independent of Brunei with Japanese support which I am doing in my TL.

Both Sulayman and Bonifacio's were victims of circumstances.

I think Luzon needs to independent from Brunei should it resist the Spanish, if the Luzonians became independent they would not want any proselytization of religion like the Bruneians tried them to do.
