WI The Olive Branch Petition Is Accepted?

OTL, the Olive Branch Petition, the last ditch attempt by the Continental Congress to avoid war between the colonies and Great Britain, was soured due to a the one two punch of a letter from John Adams to a friend (where he laid out his thoughts on why the petition would fail, and that war was inevitable) being intercepted, and the Declaration of the Causes and Necessity of Taking Up Arms being issued the next day.

So, what if it had been accepted? At the very least, what if the letter isn't intercepted, and Congress waits before they declare their reasons for taking up arms (for whatever reason)? Under those circumstances, would Parliament accept (or even consider) the petition?

Your discounting the king, I do not believe George III would accepted terms set by rebels. At that time the King not accepting it would of been the end of that. I believe this is the issue that finally set the colonist not just against parliament but against the king too.
