WI: The Newsroom and The West Wing are switched

Just like it says on the tin. What if, in 1999, Aaron Sorkin produces a show for NBC about a fictional cable news network called Atlantis Cable News, and in 2012 he produces an HBO show about the administration of President Josiah Bartlet? How long do both shows last? Who gets cast in the shows? Is there overlap in OTL cast members? Perhaps Tom Sadoski gets cast as a member of Bartlet's staff? Perhaps Bradley Whitford gets cast as a producer at ACN? Who plays Will McAvoy, and who plays Jed Bartlet in this reality?

I'd think the newsroom if done in late -90ies earlye 00-ies would last one or two more seasons, most people care very little about journalists. But the media climate is much more suitable for such a series.

The white house wouldn't even get a pilot episode in this politcal climate.
