WI the Magyars were expelled form the Pannonian Basin?

If the Magyar fail to hold the Pannonian early on it will likely go the same way as Wendland did. It will be settled by Germans, in this case (Austro-)Bavarians. This will make Slovakia more likely to get the influx of Germans from Silesia slightly earlier. The result will be the areas of modern Hungary and Slovakia will be majority German when we enter the early medieval period. It will likely make little difference in Bohemia before the rise of nationalism.

I hope this doesn't become a swarming ground for far-right wing Slovaks and Romanians (or far right wing Hungarians saying without them there would be no civilization). Eastern European ethnic threads on any site turn cancerous real quickly.
Respecially when someone comes in with five gallons of gas and a pack of road flares.

I'm sure that you as a moderator find it to be a huge headache when already suspicious threads turn into an ethnic internet flame war. Especially Israel-Palestine and Treaty of Trianon threads are really cancerous (and those are peanuts compared to Kashmir ones).

I'm quite impressed by how clean this site is, but I'm a new member. Was there a period when this was a huge concern on this site?

Not really. Most members here follow the Board's policies regarding debating issues and not attacking other members. The few who do not are reminded regarding policy and generally follow community standards. Occasionally someone chooses to follow a different path. They are usually happier elsewhere.
