After the Second World War the Japanese who had settled in Micronesia were forced to return to the Home Islands, my question its what would happen if the colonials were allowed to remain in Micronesia?
Would probably turn out a lot like their half-Micronesian offsprings, intermarrying with the islanders. While a firm Japanese community could slow assimilation into the local society, I think economic pressures would ultimately have them return on their own.
