In about 1650 BCE, a group of Semitic-speakers called the Hyksos invaded and conquered Ancient Egypt, ruling most of it before being expelled about a century later.

What if the Hyksos never successfully conquered Egypt? They brought multiple technical innovations and cultural imports that played a crucial role in Egyptian imperialism during the New Kingdom, so would Egypt's role as a major power during that time be butterflied away? Or would what the Hyksos brought be introduced eventually anyway?
