What if the Hungarians had never moved to the Pannonian Basin? How might things be different?

I'd assume that *Hungary would be a Slavic speaking nation, which would be pretty interesting in and of itself.

Also, you don't have the Magyar raids which had a pretty big impact upon the rise of the Ottonian dynasty (as well as on the late Carolinians).

I wonder if the Magyars stay in the region of otl Ukraine and maybe Bessarabia.

Wonder if Magyars would have fated similar situation that todays tatars are on crimea aka persecuted minority.

Does this mean they rather go somewhere else? They could decide to go the opposite way into Central Asia then pivot south into Khorasan and then Persia. A scenario with Muslim, Persianate Magyars would be a blast to read about!
