WI: The German Empire survives the loss in the Great War?

Following the defeat in WW1, the German Imperial government was taken down after the Generals pulled their support as a result of the string of rebellions, they were unseated from power and the Weimar Republic was established. My question is, how can we have the House of Hohenzollern stay in power in Post War Germany? Stopping the Kiel Mutiny would be the best idea, but it seems unlikely. Having Wilhelm the Second step down is a must and crowning the 36 year old Prince Wilhelm as Kaiser Wilhelm the Third while sacrificing a large degree of his powers to the Reichstag is another must, but given these are fulfilled, how will history be affected by the survival of the monarchy and the maintenance of the German Empire?

I don't think monarchy could survive. Empire was morally bankrupt and majority of people wanted change. An attempt to maintain it might cause even more backlash from far left and Bavaria might secede. Also, Entente would never tolerate a Hoehenzollern on the throne. Or throne itself.

A few years later it might be different, but in immediate aftermath of war, very difficult.

For the Kaiser to remain, you at least need a Cold Peace. So the impact will be more from how you chose to have Germany do better in the war.

If the war drags on to late 1918 there is no chance. Even if the Kaiser abdicates in favor of one of his sons. Wilson wanted the monarchy abolished before any negotiations. The people by that time were on the verge of revolution and too many Germans would not have supported trying to maintain the status quo.

The only realistic way is if you have a genuine negotiated peace in say 1915 or 1916. This isn't very likely as by then both sides had sacrificed so much they felt they needed a complete victory to justify the cost. However if the kaiser were scared enough to offer a white peace, no annexations and no reparations, there might be at least some hope though not much. Russia might be ready to accept, but France would likely insist on the return of Alsace Loraine, Japan and Britain would also want to keep the German colonies.

If Russia accepts then the war may be won decisively in the west, that would help.

Now, I don't mean to change the idea of the OP, but what if the Monarchy only lasts for a few years, causing a larger civil war between right wing nationalists, monarchists, communists and republicans years later, like in 1921. If a German Civil War was far worse, then maybe the Rhenish Republic could survive and the situation in Germany could be far worse.
