WI:The Dukes of Normandy are elected as Kings of France

I was thinking what if the Dukes of Normandy are elected as Kings of France not the Capetians and the Capets instead become Dukes of Aquitaine, is that possible to happen, what will happen to France if that happens and would they conquer England.

1) Might be possible for the dukes to become elected kings of France, but somehow I doubt it.

2) Pretty unlikely. Not impossible, with lucky marriages, but why the lucky Capet would marry the daughter of a Duke on the other side of France . . . seems unlikely.

3) Who knows?

4) Probably not, as the basis for the claim William the Bastard had OTL is almost certainly butterflied to dust.

2.Actually, the Capetians were assigned to rule Aquitaine before they were ever considered to be Kings of France while the Ramnulfids rule Poitou and Armagnacs rule Gascony, that did not happen because the Capets were elected as Kings of France..
