WI: the Dawes Plan falls through

The Dawes Plan falls through (e.g. the USA wont give the Germans loans) what happens next? Hyperinflation gets worse, the far Right/far left violence gets worse. the French formally annex the Ruhr.

I have a limited knowledge on the subject [1] so please tell me if any of the above is ASB

[1] The limited knowledge being a paragraph or so in EDEXCEL text book. The same EDEXCEL that has the October 1919 wall street crash in it

Heh, the Dawes plan. Stealing from America, to pay back America.

I think if France and Britain get really desperate they might just say 'screw you' and cancel all the debts they owe to the United States, once their backed into a corner with no escape.

would that screw France and Britain more or less come the "1919" Crash on wall street

Well British and French loans were secured so if the UK and/or France default or repudiate the US will just seize the assets backing the loans.

I think it wouldn't be out of line to suggest an earlier Depression, the structural flaws are all there, now we have a catalyst...

What where those assets?

if there is an earlier Depression would there still be a crash in 1929? Could the general strike in Britain lead to revolution?

The market crash was a symptom of an unstable financial situation, it wouldn't happen exactly in 1929. The general strike is something I don't know much about to be honest.
