WI: The Chevy Chase Show was a hit?

We all know that in September of 1993, Chevy Chase's new talk show was broadcast on Fox to much derision and criticism.

A far cry from his 80's heyday.

Chevy once remarked that he wanted to do "an entirely different concept than what was pushed on me. I would never do it again. What I wanted had a whole different feel to it, much darker and more improv. But we never got there."

But what if Fox backed off? What if Chevy was allowed to have the creative control? Could The Chevy Chase show have been a hit that continues to this day?

What would happen to Chevy Chase and the films he originally starred in from then on?

Well If FOX Makes a Success on the Chevy Chase Show it will increase higher ratings and it will make a ratings battle against the Late Show with David Letterman on CBS and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on NBC, and later on ABC got Jimmy Kimmel Live, So All 4 Networks have their own Late Night Talk Shows.

I think it could have been a success had FOX not taken Chevy out of his comfort zone.

Hell, if it was just Fletch with a talkshow it would have been a huge hit.
