WI the Allies win the Battle of Arras in 1940?

I think one of the biggest tangible benefits would be a morale booster and breathing space when the allies are considering their next move.

so a british attack launched by a force with the combined strength of less than 2 divisions unhinges the victorious to that point german army's 115 divisions; 100 of which have either not fought any battles at all or just a single battle and over 100 still are at 90+ percent strength and already deep into the rear areas of france's mobile corps

The fact that they almost defeated them IOTL is nigh-ASB in itself. :D However, with that in mind, I say that since they did actually almost win IOTL, they could in an ATL.

defeated what? Rommel's division? even if Rommel was driven back (encirclement is out of the question due to attacking forces being too small) the British still have forces advancing on their right and left flanks, if anything driving into Rommel's operational rear areas INCREASES the danger of the British being cut off from their lines of communication and compelled to surrender

Well, the almost-victory actually made the Germans stop to understand the situation for a day. An actual victory against Rommel's division might stop them for longer, and give the Allies time to fall back to Calais AND Dunkirk. I understand that it will be much riskier than staying in Arras, but with the way OKW reacted OTL...
