WI: Thailand invades Japan in 1593

In 1593, Thailand (a tributary state of Ming China) offered to launch a naval invasion of southern Japan, to help the Chinese and the Koreans in their war against the Japanese in the Korean Peninsula.

What if this really did occur? How much progress could Thailand have made?

Ayutthaya was under constant threat of Burmese (re)subjugation at that time. Distance aside, they may not have been able to offer much help while still being able to defend themselves.

Whilst the idea is interesting, it may have simply been a show of willingness to serve China. Ayutthaya I would doubt has enough power to create a fleet and army to do this invasion whilst facing threats at home.

Further, what would the Portuguese have thought of this venture if it occurred? I am under the impression that Portugal supported this Japanese invasion into Korea abd certainly held some influence in southern Japan. Might they attempt to intervene against the Ayutthaya fleet going towards Japan? In addition, could Spain the Philippines have assisted this Ayutthayan force in an effort to erode Portuguese influence in Japan?
