WI: Teddy Roosevelt was President during WW1?

If TR was President during WW1, what would happen? Now I dont care how he wins in 1912 and I dont want to look in the archives. Would the United States enter the war in 1914? Would TR enlarge the military? I plan to write a story with TR as President during WW1 and I need some answers. If there still is a WW1 witha ll the butterflies, what would it look like? Would the war end much quicker? Thanks.

And it gets annoying when people don't do the barest of research. There are a few stories with this idea as the POD.

Yeah I guess your right. I was in a very bad mood when I wrote this thread, sorry about that. I did check the archives and found some good stuff on TR winning in 1912, however there isn't enough on an altered WW1 other then that: USA enters and kicks but by 1916, happier world, the end, etc.

I think the best AH is the one that appears in What If? 2, John Lukacs' The Election of Theodore Roosevelt, 1912. I have to say that with TR in office at that particular time 'USA enters and kicks but by 1916, happier world, the end, etc.' is probably what could happen.
