The WI is that the Oriental Crisis of 1840 and Ottoman Egyptian war is resolved differently

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oriental_Crisis_of_1840

In OTL the Egyptians conquered all Syria and southeast Anatolia, but ending up losing everything outside of Egypt in the face of foreign backing for the Ottomans.

In the ATL, there is a resolution somewhat more favorable to Muhammad Ali's Egypt. In the alternate settlement, illustrated in blue lines on the map, Muhammad Ali and his heirs are granted rulership of Ottoman Arabia and Syria south of the 33rd parallel. This line places Damascus & Beirut north of the line as a protective buffer for the Ottoman Turks, but leaves the Sea of Galilee, Safed, Amman, Akko, Haifa and Jerusalem ruled from Egypt.

How does the rest of 19th century and early 20th century Egyptian, Palestinian,
Ottoman, European colonialist and Zionist history play out with Palestine and Hijaz as Egyptian possessions?

Would it be possible that some sort of formal influence zones to appear on this region, more or less based on capitulations at the benefit of France, Russia and most probably Great-Britain that would make pay such their support?
