WI surviving roman Britain

So Wi in 469 the Britons refuse to send aid to the roman emperor Anthemis. What happens is Now 12000 bretons remain on the isle and then in 473 repel Hengest of Kent. With Hengest gone and a ton of manpower could the Britons defeat the Saxon invasion by aelle could we see a survival of the roman rule in brittanicca. If so How does this change history???

Isn't there a timeline where the Saxons are beaten?

Not sure if its exactly what you're looking for, but it should give an idea what direction things go.

What Roman rule? The Western Empire, at this point, was bound to collapse on its own or be conquered by what barbarian tribes were nearby. The Romano-British were not united in any way, whatsoever. They would be fighting against each other as they did, before and after the arrival of the Anglo-Saxons.

yEah but remember The Romans don't directly have control of Briton but the Britono-Romans do... After all wasn't Ambrosius Aurelianus of Roman descent and hadn't He with pro roman faction taken full control of Britain. So technically The Romans still have an influence in Britain am I right...??

They weren't united. Britannia was not one monolithic block. And it wasn't Romanized as you might think. It was a backwater.

To sum things up the roman england was the first province of Rome to rivert back to barbarianism.

Still Ambrosius was one he'll of a genius wasn't he so Dont the britains still stand a chance under his capable rule with 12k men. That's one hefty force indeed and Ambrosius should be able to lead with succes right would make a good PoD

Where was it sourced that he had 12,000 men?

Well you see in 469 I think emperor Anthemius asked for Briton aid against Visigoths and Britons sent a force of 12k which was then slaughtered in battle. So in this tl that army does not get
itself killed by Visigoths.
