WI: Surviving Kingdom of Himyar

Exactly what it says, WI Himyar survived its wars with Aksum. Does it survive Islam, convert to Islam, or what? If the former, does it expand in or beyond the Arabian Peninsula? What are the impacts of a Jewish state existing from the 400s CE?

If Himyar survived, Islam wouldn't exist due to the Butterfly effect. Most likely it would end up falling to the Sassanids or another state eventually. If it did survive on its own, it might become a major trade power in the Indian Ocean.

If you can distract Justinian so he doesn't intercede in the Himyar invasion of Axum, I think they might be able to to make a go of it.

The big thing, though, is keeping a stable monarchy. This means that you need a few decades of stable leadership to absorb their conquests. An alliance with Persia would also be useful as it would help prevent the Buzantines pushing into the region.

I dealt with a surviving Himyar as part of my Amalingian timeline where it helps form the foundation for a United Arabia
