WI: Succesfull Batavian Revolt.

in 69 AD, The Batavians revolted against roman rule. they where lead by an ambitious man named Gaius Julius Civilis. OTL they where defeated a year after their revolt.

but what would it take for the revolt to succeed?
by what means??

and how would it end.
extra point if it creates a kingdom or confederation that lasts untill the fall of the roman empire, or lead to an continuing Batavian identity.

wi succesfull batavian revolt

Cilvilis was commanding a cohort of batavians under Vitellius, who was facing a revolt by Vespasian from Judea. I am not sure of the timing of the revolt, but Civilis could have stayed with Vitellius to help defeat Vespasian.
So Civilis helps Vitellius kill Vespasian. His son Titus in Judea may be looking for revenge. If Titus moves on Rome, Civilis could ask for permission to stop Titus. Jerusalem couild be saved.
Alternatively, since Betuwe is easily defensible, Civilis could have left a few troops to defend it. He could have then moved through Germania, gathering allies along the way. If he could make it to Parthia, he could eventually link up with Jerusalem.
For a while, he would not have declared himself in formal revolt.
I will have a timeline on this.

I cant see anny reason why Jullius would march through Germania into Parthia, but the first option seems more likely to me.

the main goal of the rebellion was (as I have learned it) fighting for his people, doing so by faking loyalty to vespasian. as soon as he won, the curtain fell.

but with the Betuwe, he has a very great position, and there must be plenty of germanic warriors eager for plunder within the roman empire.
