What if we see the StPzW Oberschlisen in 1917 as a contemporary of the Renault FT, instead of the larger A7V?
Specifically let's look at three separate areas, and try to keep them separate as much as possible. Obviously they will be heavily interrelated, but the primary concern is not cascading effects, but short term impact, primarily focused on 1917-1920, secondarily 1920-1925, and only peripherally on the post 1925 time frame.
1) direct military impact of an improved and more producable tank for Germany in 1917 and 1918 (extending to 1920 if militarily feasible, this being the maximum extent I've seen realistically outlined for the German economy being able to sustain the war effort).
2) tactics and doctrine: specifically, how does this affect infantry and artillery tactics, and crucially, does Germany apply the schwerpunkt concept to the Panzers and when?
Does radio play any role in their impact, and how does the communication equipment of 1917-1920 affect the tactics of the Panzers?
3) tank design post war? Clearly this is dependent to a degree on who wins and the extent of their defeat.
