WI: Street Fighter II developed by the original Street Fighter team?
As many fighting game fans know, Takashi Nishiyama (now president of Dimps) once worked for Capcom where he created and planned the original
Street Fighter. He left the company after the original
Street Fighter finished production due to create differences and bad blood with his supervisor. He soon went to SNK where he had much more creative freedom. He went on to create
Fatal Fury,
Art of Fighting and
Samurai Shodown. He also came up with the idea of the Neo-Geo. Meanwhile, Capcom chose Akira Yasuda as the new planner of the Street Fighter IP and went on to make what would've been a sequel to the original
Street Fighter titled
Street Fighter '89 (which ultimately became
Final Fight due to its vastly different gameplay). After the success of
Final Fight, he began working on
Street Fighter II.

But what if Takashi was given more freedom from Capcom and got along with his supervisor, which would allow him to stay? Well
Street Fighter II would obviously resemble the original
Fatal Fury of OTL with some minor differences but what would come of Akira Yasuda (planner of
Street Fighter II IOTL)? Does he continue working on the Final Fight series, or does he leave Capcom and take his fighting game idea to SNK? And does Capcom develop a home console similar to the Neo-Geo?
Thoughts?
