WI: Stonewall survives...Sherman shot by friendly fire on May 10, 1863?

I don't think anybody has done this particular scenario. Is this enough to prevent losses at Vicksburg and Gettysburg? Is this enough to persuade France or Britain to recognize them?

Losing Sherman will definitely hurt the west. Enough to prevent Vicksburg from falling? The city only has another two months left in it anyways, by May 10, it's already over except the shooting.

Now Gettysburg is another story. It's a popular belief that had Jackson been in command the first day instead of Ewell, with his aggressive nature he would've captured the high ground as Culp's hill was unoccupied as late as that afternoon.
