WI: Stations picked up The Buck Stops Here

The Buck Stops Here is a 1985 unsold pilot hosted by Jim Peck, announced by Gene Wood and it was produced by Simon Laughlin Johnson Productions, Proctor & Gamble Productions and Taft Entertainment Television.

Worldvision however signed the show and agreed that Tribune stations to clear the show, which included KTLA in Los Angeles and WPIX New York for the 1986-87 season. Many of Taft's stations also cleared the show as well.

This format is about two teams to compete the show and read out a toss-up question with correct answers worth $50 and earning control of questions and the jackpot was worth $15,000.

Ultimately, The Buck Stops Here was cancelled in 1987. The show was however marked as Jim Peck's attempt to return to permanently game show hosting

Yep, It would've been nice that WGN should've carried "The Buck Stops Here" in the Chicago Market, along with KWGN in Denver and WGNO in New Orleans, However KRON (an NBC Affiliate at the time) in San Francisco had carried it at 12:30 PM before Another World, The Schedule from September 1986 ITTL had it carried it, here's what happened.

10:00 am: Wheel of Fortune
10:30 am: Scrabble
11:00 am: Super Password

11:30 am: Midday
Noon: The $1,000,000 Chance of a Lifetime
