WI Spanish Civil War escalates into WW2?

France and Britain decide to help the Republicans after all, and with Italy and Germany supporting the Rebels, the situation soon escalates into a second Great War in 1936-37.

How I think this could play out is that skirmishes along France's border with Navarre, and between the Italian and Britrish navies near the Balearics, is what escale the situation. For example, the Italians sink a British fleet, Britain declares war on Italy, Germany declares on Britain, France on Germany, Soviets on Germany, and so on, all during 1936/37.

Can France deal with a three front (Rhine/Alps/Spain) war in 1936? How can the Soviets contribute with Poland in the way?

Can Germany even wage war at this point? How do you think it'd go?

In fact, could thios situation led to Poland joining the Axis? So it'd be France, UK, Soviet, Czechia, Republican Spain VS Germany, Italy, (Austria?), (Hungary?), Poland, and National Spain in 1937.

Russia supported left-leaning - some of whom were communist party members - peasant rebels. Those rebels defied the status quo capitalist big land owners and Catholic Church.

General Franco and the Spanish Army backed the existing capitalist/royalist/federal gov’t. Franco also enjoyed military support from fascist dictators like Musillini and Hitler.

To prolong the Spanish Civil War, rebels needed to import far more weapons and general supplies. They held several ports in NW Basque Country and the Mediterranean Coast. Basque fishermen would cheerfully smuggle arms from SW France. Rebels needed to be able to openly ship supplies from socialist-leaning parties in Scandinavian, Canada, France, etc. South Americans would cheerfully sell food to anyone who could pay for it.

The Spanish and Italian Navy would try to blockade rebel ports, etc. The French Navy tries to break the blockade around Marsellies while the Italian Army invaded the French Med. coast.
And it escalates from there!
