Despite being a Bourbon, Ferdinand VI of Spain spent his reign trying to keep a neutrality between France and Britain, even during the beggining of the Seven Years War. However, he died chidless in 1759, and his brother Charles became the new Spanish king. Charles didn't have the same neutrality ideal as his brother, and in 1761 he signed the Third Family Compact with Louis XV of France against the British and their allies.

Assuming this son (let's call him Philip, in honour to Ferdinand's father) is born around 1735 and is deeply influenced by the neutrality ideas of his father. When Philip VI becomes king in 1759 he doesn't ally with France. So, what would be the effects of a neutral Spain during the Seven Years War? And, for those who understand about the internal policies of Spain during this period, what could change in Spain if Charles III isn't the monarch?
