There were German plans to abduct the Duke and Duchess of Windsor for possible use after "Germany won the war". Even after the Windsors had gone to Portugal. What might have been happened if they had been 'abducted'?

I think the German's would have had trouble getting him to do even that much. And I see him still continually whining about the accommodations, amenities, etc. to the point where the German's beg the Briits to take him back. Only to be told "you stole him, you keep him!"
He gave a pro-peace speech from Verdun before the war while his brother the King and sister-in-law the Queen were on their way to the USA. I would not be surprised to find him being a "King Haw Haw", tbh. So long as they kept him away from the fighting and called his wife "Her Royal Highness". That last was his biggest whine.
They wanted him to re-take the throne after they defeated Britain.
