Say Japan launches a strike North at the same time as Barbarossa is in full swing, and it backfires when the Soviets overrun Manchuria and Korea in an earlier August Storm. What's Japan's response? I'm assuming the Soviets pull out after decimating the Kwantung Army so they can fight in Europe. Note that poll options aren't mutually exclusive.

Korea was a very important Japanese colony, they would have tried everything to get it back. However,i can't imagine the Soviets "overruning" Manchuria and Korea while there are literally struggling to survive on the western front...they would simply hold back the Japanese or slowly retreat until Germany is defeated.

The logistics is insane for the Soviets to get there in 1941 while having to worry about the European theater. There is a much higher possibility when Operation August Storm is launched.
