WI: Southeast Asia not Indianized

Starting in the first century CE, Indian culture began spreading to Southeast Asia. While the influence of Indian culture started to decline when Islam came to the region, it nevertheless left an indelible impression that can still be seen today.

But let's say this didn't happen. How would Southeast Asia evolve and develop? Would there be more Chinese influence, or would its culture change in some other way? And what other consequences might this have?

Would most likely be Chinese, or a situation of slight Sino-Indian influence but with greater native development.

No extensive spice trade and Indian ocean trade that's for sure. You'd be butterflying away so much including the colonization of Madagascar and the development of much of Southeastern Africa.
