WI Son Bridge isn't destroyed during Market Garden?

I rewatched A Bridge Too Far, and this got me thinking if the survival of the Son Bridge could've done anything to ameliorate the eventual failure of Market Garden. Any thoughts?

Guards Armored arrived in Nijmegen a day before OTL, but the German counteroffensive against Son will still tie down British units down there. Butterflies, however, could make the bridges at Nijmegen fall sooner. Maybe, just maybe, someone could reach Frost before they had to surrender. But that's assuming Model don't blow the bridges in Nijmegen sooner in response of TTLs events.

In any case, the Red Devils will still be chopped to bits. :(

P.S. I haven't seen A Bridge Too Far in a while. Memory might be a bit rusty.

ABsolute best case scenario: Frost is saved, Arnhem bridge not blown. But XXX Corps still sticking way out on a slender reed. The rest of 1st Airbourne is still mostly destroyed, with the remnants getting across the river. Strategically? No change. Perhaps enough German units are drawn north to force Hitler to scale back his 15th Army attack planned to commence once 6th SS Panzer Army crossed the Meuse River in the Ardennes Offensive.

As others have said the best scenario is that more paratroopers in Arnhem are saved. It may still be too late for the battalion on Arnhem bridge.

By the end of the second day the Germans knew what the plan was and how the Allies were going to do it. It was simply a question of blocking one route and delaying until the Arnhem force is destroyed.

Market Garden was based on the assumption that the Germans were collapsing. Based on the previous few weeks it was not an unreasonable assumption but it just turned out to be wrong.

V for Victory Games use to have a very good Game on the subject. Everytime I played that game, the son bridge is blow, except for one time. And that is the key to the battle because there is no 36 hour delay as they are trying to construct a Baily bridge. The one time the son isn't blow and I capture it intact, I was able to drive XXX Corp. in that time that the plan called for, so I would say yes.

I've played the Close Combat game A Bridge Too Far. Getting the Son Bridge intact on it was a total pain.
