WI: Sociopolitical Impact of All of Nazi Top Brass still alive in 1945 at Nuremburg Trials

What happens if all of the Nazi top brass still alive in 1945 were captured and placed on the docks at the Nuremberg Trials. No one commits suicide before the trials because they were captured before they could commit suicide. So essentially you would get Hitler, Himmler, Goebbels all in attendance at the Nuremberg Trials.

What would be the sociopolitical impact of this? Would this weaken or strengthen far right sentiments years down the line such as Holocaust denial? How would this affect de-Nazification?

Interesting. I'm actually doing a TL of the same subject, Justiz in Nurnberg. It's about having all top Nazi members (including Hitler, Himmler, Goebbels and even Heydrich) being charged in the Nuremberg Trials. I'm very fascinated in continuing this project.

In a sense, I believe the impact of this would be enormous, for the world would see the uncensored nature of some of the most notorious men of the 20th century. Some people would still see German nationalism but not condone the actions of the Nazis. Many, including Germans, would probably see Nazism in much more negative light. Neo Nazis would probably be more rare and it would be very hard to deny the Holocaust. That being said, it doesn't mean that Germans lose faith in national pride in general. I see a different kind of German nationalism arising after WWII, a return back to simple, but modern military pride based on morale values and honor (and I can see this movement being led by Rommel and Guderian). As for de-Nazification, there would be a more thorough search for individuals explicitly involved in the Nazi regime, but I can see some leniency being placed on the German people in general. If you see the disregard Hitler and Goebbels showed towards the German people near the end of the war, you'd feel sorry for the common German. I'll dive deep into this once I'm further in my TL.
