Could we see the People's Democratic Republic of Ethiopia pursue the path of the PRC in adopting a more pseudo-capitalistic economy with reforms and a pseudo-capitalistic economy?
How are they supposed to do this?Pretty much OTL, they just needed to do this decades ago.
If the insurgencies were either crushed or at least reduced to pockets of holdouts, what could this mean for Ethiopia? Could we see Ethiopia implementing something similar to the New Economic Policy? It doesn't sound likely, Ethiopia is a very different country compared to China. Plus aside from the mass poverty and famines, Ethiopia was in the middle of a brutal civil war, you kinda need peace and stability to pull off successful economic reforms.
Can you elaborate?I could see Ethiopia adopting state capitalism like modern China or close to it (left nationalism) with the right pressure using a post-1900 AD pod.
