This guy would presumably become King in 1850, unless Parliament passes over him (granted title as elector of Palatinate in 1848), at which point you get
this one.
I think Rupert is the most compelling choice there. Both sons were disliked by the King and his advisors for their constant attempts to gain English intervention (and percieved Parliamentarian leanings). Meanwhile, they were both well liked by Parliament (Rupert was more popular with them, I believe)
